Stamping on felted items – something I must say I had never seen before that is until I ran across Unity Stamp Company’s blog recently. As I was scrolling through the blog a photo caught my eye – a felted item that was stamped using one of Unity’s unique stamping designs. Unity Stamp Company is a new company started by Angela Magnuson, but not new to the DIY scene. Angela runs a business that has provided wood mounts to some of the largest stamping companies in the United States. “Our woodworking business is what led to the creation of Unity Stamps. We saw a need for something simple, new and fresh.” Angela explains the system perfectly – “We will be providing 4 different sized Unity Stamp handles to the stamping industry. EVERY single one of our stamps is 100% usable and will pair perfectly with our handles. Either you will be able to use unmounted stamps on the flip side of our handle (which is made of acrylic) or you will be able to slide our thin wood mounted Unity Stamps into our handle. ANY length will fit the different sized handles labeled a,b,c,d, according to width.”

A friend of Angela’s had a great idea one day – why not stamp on felted items. Karen by day is an electrologist that lives in Willmar, MN about 90 miles west of the Twin Cities. But by night she loves to create things. She has been knitting and crocheting since she was 8 years old and has dabbled in many other crafts along the way such as stamping and paper crafts but knitting is really her passion. A true DIY crafter.

DIY City mag asked Karen if she would mind sharing the process of stamping on felted items.
